Who would want to return from a journey through time to Venice in the first half of the 18th century, especially with the opportunity to experience the sounds of Vivaldi’s compositions written for the Ospedale della Pietà? The composer of The Four Seasons worked for this institution during two periods, 1703 to 1715 and 1723 to 1740, and premièred some of his most brilliant works there. Jordi Savall, who has tackled this repertoire on previous occasions, will once again offer us the chance to enjoy several breathtaking pieces from Vivaldi’s sacred repertoire, created within the walls of the Ospedale della Pietà. For example, the Gloria and the Magnificat in G minor, A concert with works of undeniable brilliance and the characteristic colour of Venetian music.
